Without Regret

Last session, the party managed to breach the Empire's Fortress. In trying to reach the Emperor's ritual site, the party had to find several items that would open the door to their destination. First they acquired a lantern and a light statue that when combined become an anchor to reality. Then, through a series of odd puzzles the party used the items to obtain a Frozen Tear, an Orb of Darkness and a Glass Prism. And finally, the party butt heads to determine which item goes to which slot until finally they were able to get the door open. On the other side are eight of the Children of the Sun Emperor. All covered with a magical dome that powers the only thing that stands between them and the Emperor, a massive wall of light. Just as the party attacked them, someone else intervened. Some familiar faces from the past, led by Ignis' father, Kano, appeared to defend the Children.
