Last session, the party defeated the Hand of Reckoning but was left drifting in the Astral Sea. Fortunately, a check of the ship revealed that hundreds of passengers survived the battle. Tension rose when Kitiara received a message from Rex: an infection targeting dragons has broken out in Aramashi, forcing Kaito to send their son to Litoralis for safety. To get home, the party assisted Engineer Pheron Blackloud in repairing the ship's Gate generator. However, due to the damage, the party must now successfully perform complex Arcane calculations. Failure means drifting into Merodraeth.
