Tenebrous
Last session, the party had to decide how to approach the cultists. As they pushed forward, they realized they had looped back to the very hallway where they began—a grim sign that the end was near. Ultimately, Celeste chose to walk into the meeting alone, while the rest of the party hung back, ready to reinforce her. At the parley, the cultists were thrilled to see Celeste but flatly refused to divulge any information about the massacre at her village. Inevitably, words turned to blades, and a brutal battle ensued. Despite suffering some harsh blows, the party defeated the cultists and used magic to interrogate them in death. The questioning revealed a massive glimmer of hope: there were still Aasimar survivors in Dux Hill. However, the victory was cut horribly short when the corpse started asking questions back. Speaking through the dead, Demon Lord Teneborus himself addressed the party. He personally invited them to Dux Hill, goading the heroes to come and slaughter his followers—all for the sickening purpose of making Celeste's blood even more exquisite for him.
The party has a date with a cult but only Celeste is invited. Will she face her demons alone or will the party stand by her? Or maybe... She loses the chance at revenge altogether?
